a few questions on war/mo vs mo/war
Ok, to preface this post, I'm asking for specific PvE instances, this'll be the char I start at level one come the 27th, and I really can't decide between war/mo or mo/war. For the war/mo I'll probably use healing/prot/swords for my attributes (maybe strength?), and for the mo/war, it'll be the same attributes, just with divine favor. They'll have similar skills, naturally, and the idea of a lot of those prot skills stacking seems good (shield of judgement, specifically, and a few of those enchantments and give you adren and energy or maybe even Live Vicariously), so it comes down to having either more armor for the warrior, vs. the ability to heal myself with every spell (and I assume I'll be casting a fair amount if I'm constantly refreshing prot spells), and, of course, a monk having quite a bit more energy, and more pips than the war. So, any advice would be appreciated, but specifically regarding high-end PvE (both farming, and the difficult missions, such as Fissue of Woe) would be nice.

okay, if you are considering making a farming build, try out SuperJ's build here - http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ead.php?t=3383
it works well for high end farming. For PvP, don't put points into both healing and protection - monks should do one or the other, not both. Also, a W/Mo should not be concentrating on his defensive spells much in PvP - Warriors don't have much energy to play with, and should be nasty damage dealers where possible (play defensive, and other players will ignore you and lay some hurt on your casters). Henceforth, a W/Mo in PvP (in my opinion) should take smiting prayers, strength, and a weapon attribute. |
